เมื่อไม่กี่วันมานี้ได้มีโอกาสไปเยือน "วัดต่อแพ" ซึ่งเป็นวัดเก่าแก่ที่สำคัญแห่งหนึ่งของ อ.ขุนยวม จ.แม่ฮ่องสอน สิ่งที่น่าสนใจในวัดนี้ ได้แก่ ศาลาการเปรียญ และพระธาตุเจดีย์ทรงไทใหญ่ที่สวยงาม รวมทั้งผ้าม่านโบราณ อายุมากกว่า 150 ปี ทำด้วยผ้ากำมะหยี่ ประดับลูกปัด มุก และทับทิมแท้ จำนวน 164 เม็ด ซึ่งทำในพม่า ภาพบนผ้าม่านเป็นการเล่าเรื่องราวพุทธประวัติตอนพระเวสสันดรเสด็จประพาสอุทยาน นอกจากนี้ วัดต่อแพยังมีความสำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์สมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ด้วย เพราะเป็นสถานที่พักแรมของทหารญี่ปุ่นที่จะเดินทางต่อไปยังพม่า บริเวณวิหารเล็กที่ตั้งอยู่ด้านหน้าเจดีย์ใช้เป็นสถานที่พิมพ์ธนบัตร พื้นที่ใต้ถุนศาลาวัดถูกใช้เป็นสถานพยาบาล รวมทั้งเมื่อทหารญี่ปุ่นเสียชีวิตจากการเจ็บป่วยหรือสู้รบก็นำมาฝังไว้ภายในบริเวณวัดแห่งนี้ด้วย ปัจจุบันจึงมีอนุสรณ์สถานของทหารญี่ปุ่นให้เห็น ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บริเวณกำแพงด้านหน้าของทางเข้าวัด และสิ่งที่น่าสนใจของวัดแห่งนี้อีกอย่างหนึ่ง ที่มักจะไปวิ่งเล่นเสมอเมื่อไปที่นั่น คือ ทุ่งนาเขียวขจีหลังวัด แต่ในช่วงที่ไปเป็นช่วงของการปลูกพืชหมุนเวียนเพื่อรอฤดูกาลทำนาใหม่อีกครั้งในช่วงกลางปีนี้ เราจึงเห็นเป็นนาถั่วเหลืองแทน...นาถั่วเหลืองกว้างใหญ่โดยมีฉากหลังเป็นวัดต่อแพ ก็สวยไปอีกแบบนะคะ :Big-QQ (4):
